About the Role
We’re looking for an Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to shape and deliver our internal communications strategy, using the power of effective communication to drive employee engagement and support the delivery of THG’s strategic goals.
Reporting to the Head of Employer Brand, you’ll play an integral role in enhancing employee engagement and ensuring that our internal communications are clear, consistent, and engaging. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and teams across the business to develop and implement communication plans than inform, inspire, engage, and connect our colleagues all over the world.
Responsibilities:
- Shape and deliver a global internal communications strategy that spans all areas of the Group, from strategic updates and brand news to Diversity & Inclusion and Sustainability.
- Work with a variety of teams to create and deliver communications campaigns that drive employee engagement and promote THG’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
- Develop a detailed editorial calendar to execute in collaboration with the wider team, some of which can be tailored for external communications.
- Refine THG’s tone of voice so that it reflects our vibrant and dynamic culture.
- Work with key stakeholders across the business, offering best practice communications guidance and support in cascading business messaging.
- Oversee our internal communications channels, ensuring they’re accessible and up to date.
- Write and proofread different types of copy – informative, engaging, educational, inspirational.
- Take a data-driven approach to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internal communications and employee engagement.
- Manage and mentor one member of the team.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in internal communications or a similar role.
- Management experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proof-reading skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and senior leaders and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms (e.g. Canva, Figma, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
