The Role:
As a Product Marketing Manager - Japanese Market at Myprotein, you will be at the forefront of driving product innovation, licensing initiatives, and market-specific campaigns. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams both globally and locally, as well as internal and external, including central brand, New Product Development (NPD), design studios, licensing partners, and retail distributors, to deliver products and campaigns that resonate with the Japanese market. This pivotal role demands strategic vision, project management expertise, and the ability to lead high-impact initiatives that align with Myproteins overarching goals while catering to the unique needs of the Japanese audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Marketing
- Lead the concepting and project management of Japan-led new products, including flavour extensions, EPD (Existing Product Development), influencer collaborations, and new innovations.
- Collaborate with the global Product Marketing and Studio teams to brief and provide feedback on packaging design, ensuring it aligns with the brand identity and Japanese market preferences.
- Build and manage the annual product launch calendar, ensuring alignment with seasonality, trends, and business strategies specific to Japan.
- Act as the primary Japanese market contact for global NPDs, ensuring localisation of product concepts and coordination with cross-regional teams.
- Lead product concept development for the retail segment, ensuring alignment with Myprotein’s Masterbrand, product portfolio, and strategic goals.
- For retail, collaborate with local partners to brief design concepts, manage approvals for packaging, POP, and shelf designs, and maintain consistency with brand guidelines.
Licensing Development
- Drive the development of licensing products by working with internal licensing and NPD teams to craft compelling product and commercial proposals.
- Serve as the primary liaison for licensing partners in Japan, managing end-to-end communication and approvals.
- Identify and pursue new licensing opportunities that align with Myprotein’s brand and growth objectives.
Campaign Management
- Take ownership of Japan-led campaigns, driving the concepting, creative briefing, and collaboration with Studio and external agencies to deliver impactful on-site assets.
- Manage annual budgeting for product marketing and campaigns, ensuring optimal resource allocation in partnership with the Head of Marketing for Asia and other stakeholders.
- Analyse campaign performance and utilize data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve business objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with proven expertise in launching and managing product campaigns in the nutrition, food, or consumer goods industries.
- Strong knowledge of the Japanese market, including consumer behaviour, trends, and cultural nuances.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in licensing management and product concept development, preferably in retail and ecommerce channels.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in leveraging data to inform strategies and decision-making.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering campaigns and product launches.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- A background in health, fitness, or nutrition is a significant advantage.

- フレーバー展開、既存製品開発(EPD)、インフルエンサーコラボレーション、新規イノベーションを含む、日本発の新製品の企画およびプロジェクト管理をリード
- グローバルのプロダクトマーケティングおよびスタジオチームと協力し、ブランドアイデンティティと日本市場の嗜好に合わせたパッケージデザインの指示と評価
- 日本特有の季節性、トレンド、事業戦略に沿った年間製品発売カレンダーの構築と管理
- グローバルNPDの日本市場窓口として、製品コンセプトのローカライズと地域間チームの連携を確保
- 小売部門の製品コンセプト開発を主導し、Myproteinのマスターブランド、製品ポートフォリオ、戦略目標との整合性を確保
- 小売向けに、現地パートナーと協力してデザインコンセプトの指示、パッケージ、POP、棚割りデザインの承認管理、ブランドガイドラインとの一貫性維持
ライセンス開発
- 社内ライセンスおよびNPDチームと協力し、魅力的な製品および商業提案を作成してライセンス製品の開発を推進

- アジアマーケティング責任者や他のステークホルダーと連携し、プロダクトマーケティングとキャンペーンの年間予算管理と最適な資源配分を実施
- キャンペーンのパフォーマンスを分析し、データに基づく洞察を活用して戦略を最適化し事業目標を達成
求める人材:
- マーケティング、ビジネス、または関連分野の学位
- 栄養、食品、消費財業界での製品キャンペーンの立ち上げと管理において5年以上の経験を持つプロダクトマーケティングのプロフェッショナル
- 消費者行動、トレンド、文化的特性を含む日本市場に関する深い知識
