Job: Social Media Manger - Myprotein (TikTok)

Reporting to: Social Media Lead

Location: THG HQ, Manchester, WA15 0AF - FULLY OFFICE BASED

Why be a Social Media Manager at Myprotein focussing on TikTok?

At Myprotein, you’ll lead TikTok strategy and execution for a globally recognised brand, working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You’ll be given the tools, ownership, and support to push boundaries, experiment with cutting-edge social content, and develop strategies that drive community and commercial growth. You'll be overseeing the TikTok and TikTok Shop Social Platforms with a focus on content planning, data and insight tracking and ideation designed to drive engagement, views and community growth. The ideal candidate is an expert in all things related to social. The position collaborates with the Content Production, Brand, Partnerships and Commercial teams to help define the look and feel of content across Global social accounts.  

Purpose of Role:  

To maximise platform efficiency and success to deliver best-in-class output. The successful candidate will implement a data-first approach using analytics tools to inform decisions, optimise posting, and understand audience behaviour. Exceptional organisational and leadership skills are also needed to own the day-to-day planning and publishing operations of a team of execs and senior execs. They will have an excellent understanding of social media best practices, channel optimisation, and current trends. Additionally, that a data-first approach means content is posted consistently, strategically, and unlocks key growth opportunities. 

You will also be responsible for TikTok Shop and co-ordination with the wider Product, Trader and Influencer teams, creating strategies and opportunities to grow our Shop audience, align content strands across affiliates and paid and own the LIVE strand of Shoppable e-commerce on TikTok.  

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day management of content output ensuring quality control, key publishing times and stakeholder management. 
  • Implement social and content strategy across social platforms, using data & insight to inform content, platform strategy & audience segmentation. 
  • Develop plans for large content activations, delivering content briefings, narrative and platform best practice 
  • Conceptualise and plan marketing content around key moments in the annual calendar. 
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to plan and develop engaging content to increase value for other departments and meet business and brand objectives. 
  • Always adhering to brand guidelines when posting content, ensuring all content is reflective of the brand tone of voice 
  • Work closely with the Social Content team to understand and act on market trends, user behaviour, new platform features, competitor activity and other relevant updates 
  • Flexibility towards out of hours and unsociable hours if required (Events coverage, social media monitoring etc.) 
  •  Tracks and reports social community metrics with an eye on optimization 
  • Audits social campaigns, identifies key findings and recommends approaches 
  • Delivery best-in-class community management.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • At least 3 years’ experience managing TikTok social media platform.  
  • Understanding of TikTok Shop and experience in managing TikTok Lives.  
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment. 
  • Must be comfortable presenting concepts and ideas and reporting to a variety of audiences. 
  • The ability to work across multiple projects and manage tight deadlines 
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and presentation skills 
  • Open-minded, flexible and able to deal with people effectively at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Besides your social media background, you are passionate for fitness, content and storytelling 
  • Excellent copywriting skills and a good eye for design 
  • A demonstrated ability to craft headlines, social media posts and live coverage that people want to SHARE and engage with 
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms including, but not limited to, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and TikTok. 
  • Coherent ability of Social Media Management Tools such as Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite and more. 
  • Knowledge in content creation platforms such as Canva, Adobe, Capcut and others.
