Why be a Procurement and Supply Chain Graduate at THG?  

We are recruiting a graduate to undertake a 12-month graduate scheme with three rotations within the Direct & Indirect Procurement Teams and the Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be managing and negotiating spend for these areas. You will be required to deliver innovation from the supply base, reduce costs where possible and learn how to develop and manage contracts. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in developing a career within Procurement and / or Supply Chain and be able to demonstrate natural commercial awareness.  

As a Procurement Graduate you’ll:  

Indirect Procurement:

  • Work on supporting & developing a procurement strategy for a category of spend
  • Negotiate and award contracts
  • Develop THG’s perffered supplier list / market options
  • Manage existing contracts maximising value
  • Be able to communicate cross-functionally across our key divsions and supporting functions such as Legal and Finance
  • Support best Procurement practice and policies to be embedded throughout the business
  • Managing supplier approval process and working with the relevant teams; Finance & Info Sec to faciltate approval process

Nutrition Direct Procurement:

  • Work with NPD Team and support with Procurement requirements for NPD projects across Nutrition division
  • Communicate with our suppliers regularly to schedule product into our network, considering any capacity/delivery challenges that may put our online or offline trading plans at risk
  • Generate production plans for one of THG’s manufacturing sites considering prioritisation of sales streams, raw material allocation & efficiency
  • Reporting on KPI’s such as spend, savings, payment terms, availability, intake budgets & production plan attainment

Beauty Direct Procurement:

  • Work with NPD Team and support with Procurement requirements for NPD projects across Beauty Division.
  • Communicate with our suppliers regularly in development of packaging projects, understanding restrictions and opportunities to deliver high quality products.
  • Identifying new suppliers who align with our T&C’s and supplier specification to deliver further benefit to our supply chain.
  • Projects to deliver results to meet procurement strategy 

What skills and experience do I need for this role? 

  • A graduate looking to start work after Graduation in Summer 2025
  • Graduating with a degree in Business, Finance, or a related subject would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Commercial awareness and the capability to make relevant recommendations off the back of commercial summaries and input this into the relevant category strategy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office to a high standard, particularly Excel
  • If you have any Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations experience this would be an advantage
