Ingenuity finance team plays an integral part in the success of THG and provides support to the senior management team to ensure all operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. The day to day can vary from reporting of key financial information, partnering with business stakeholders or reviewing client proposals, but always driving continuous improvement within the finance function.

About the Role

THG is looking to recruit a Assistant Financial Controller for THG Commerce to work within our Ingenuity Department. You will play a vital role in the provision of information to the Senior Management team for Ingenuity and the wider group.

Reporting into the Head of Finance for Ingenuity, this is a highly visible and important role within an established Finance team with excellent scope for growth and ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculation and posting of Variable Revenues across multiple revenue streams
  • Monthly P&L Management including Journal posting and review
  • Divisional Balance Sheet Management
  • Weekly forecasting – Incorporating new business wins and applying revenue recognition policies
  • Oversea Client Billing and associated income balance sheets
  • Clients P&Ls including Compilation, distribution and resolution of client queries
  • Providing financial information to stakeholders as and when required
  • Support on the divisional audit
  • Acting as the bridge between finance and the commercial teams of the division
  • Improving existing reporting and models from across the team
  • Understanding current controls around month end and year end, and looking at ways to improve them

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Prior knowledge of using excel and finance systems
  • Has the ability to learn quickly and take proactive approaches to their work.
  • Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with Senior Stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Hands-on approach
