What is a CRO Manager at THG?

As CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) Manager you will have responsibility for creating, owning and delivering the conversion optimisation roadmap for one of our most valuable clients. We are looking for someone that has hands-on experience delivering a conversion optimisation programme, and now wants to manage the optimisation roadmap themselves.

Reporting into the Marketing Director, the CRO Manager will own the front-end experimentation process with performance being measured based on conversion rate and average order value uplift. An internal and external facing role, you will work with stakeholders across Trading, Marketing, Customer Success and Technology to deliver for our client.

 

What will I be doing as a CRO Manager at THG?

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and owning a flexible conversion rate optimisation programme that covers the entire user experience and funnels across our client’s website.
  • Defining and owning the experimentation process from managing backlogs, scoping requirements, collating specifications, ensuring correct setup of tools, executing tests, analysing performance and making recommendations for site developments based on learnings.
  • Monitoring and owning key metrics for our client’s website including Conversion Rate, Average Order Value, Bounce Rate and Exit Rates along with wider Trading and Marketing Teams.
  • Understanding business objectives and managing the conversion optimisation programme to deliver improvement across key metrics in line targets agreed with our client.
  • Building relationships with and managing stakeholders internally and externally across Trading, Marketing, Customer Success and Technology Teams to deliver the conversion optimisation roadmap
  • Promoting and driving our testing capabilities and initiatives to support current and future plans for conversion rate optimisation across THG Ingenuity.
  • Creating a database to ensure knowledge and learnings gathered from the conversion optimisation programme are captured and accessible to stakeholders internally and externally.

 

About you:

  • Experience leading a conversion optimisation programme; using experience analytics platforms and content management systems (Content Square and AB Tasty desirable).
  • Commercially astute, ambitious and driven; hungry for success and responsibility.
  • Manages their time efficiently, enjoys problem solving and finding effective yet scalable solutions.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced ecommerce environment; online retailing knowledge essential.
  • Strong communication skills; has worked exceptionally as part of a wider team and has experience in managing others.
  • Has client-facing experience or similar; working with third party and external partners.
