JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Location: Manchester City Centre
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, 4x on and 4x off (days & nights shift rotation)

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Hotel Security Concierge to join our team at King Street Townhouse Hotel. In this role, you will be ensuring a safe and secure environment while delivering exceptional service that enhances our guests' experience. Your responsibilities will include upholding the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in every aspect of your work, ensuring that all security protocols and guest interactions align with our standards.

The hotel also includes King Street Tavern (bar, restaurant and wine cellars), afternoon tea rooms, conferencing & event space, gym and treatment rooms, which are available to hotel guests. King Street Townhouse boasts some amazing features, such as its rooftop infinity spa pool, with views of the spires and clock tower of Manchester’s iconic town hall. The hotel prides itself in its reputation for special events and occasions. As such we are very popular for christenings, wedding parties, anniversaries and birthday celebrations. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Front line Security duties including all visitor and contractor controls
  • Operation of the front of house reception and guest services
  • To take responsibility for the presentation, cleanliness and safety of all the areas of the premises.
  • To interact with all building users, visitors and colleagues in a courteous, professional and helpful manner.
  • To ensure that any breaches of security or damage is reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Daily completion of site report, to relate repairs and issues raised by occupiers, visitors or colleagues.
  • To ensure the building frontage is kept clean and tidy.
  • To record all site issues as they arise and recording updates and job completion
  • A register of key usage, key holding and usage by contractors
  • A diary of expected visitors
  • Planned visits/permissions given to contractors.
  • Parcels and recorded deliveries.
  • Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy to include monthly H&S checks, weekly lift alarm tests, weekly fire alarm tests, emergency light tests.
  • All contractors must have the correct authority to carry out repairs/works before commencement.
  • Follow company / client procedure and guidelines for Health and Safety in relation to compliance
  • Ad hoc duties reasonably requested by Management
  • Requirements to regularly walk the perimeter, grounds and hallways of the hotel.
  • To liaise and support other departments within the hotel

 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • SIA License
  • Valid First Aid at work certificate
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to respond appropriately to changing situations
  • Discretion and sensitivity
  • The ability to maintain professional standards under pressure
