recycle:me
According to the British Beauty Council, the beauty industry generates an estimated 120 million units of packaging per year, with only 9% of this being recycled by consumers.
THG Beauty is committed to helping its customers to reduce their environmental impact, so in 2024, recycle:me was launched, offering nationwide doorstep collections of hard-to-recycle beauty and cosmetic packaging.
The scheme is free for customers to use and they are rewarded with £5 in credit, that can be spent at either LOOKFANTASTIC or Cult Beauty, for each return of at least five qualifying products.

The UK Plastics Pact
In our pursuit of the established packaging goals and THG's commitment to transparent accountability, we became a proud member of the UK Plastics Pact (UKPP) in 2022. The UKPP members account for two thirds of all consumer packaging used in the UK. It brings together governments, businesses, NGOs and citizens to move away from a linear plastics economy towards a circular system. In June 2023, THG submitted its first report to the UKPP, summarising the recyclability of the plastic packaging we placed on the UK market in 2022, which is included in UKPP’s 2022 annual progress report.

Responsible Marketing
We recognise the importance of responsible marketing, so we launched our Responsible Marketing Code during 2024 to ensure we comply with relevant local, national and international marketing standards, laws and regulations.
In 2023, Cult Beauty released their 'Can't (Re)Touch This' campaign to promote their commitment to never retouching or altering a model's appearance on their in-house imagery. This means that customers are able to trust that the skin, hair, and bodies they see on site and on social are reflective of what's really there - in all of their beautiful, unretouched glory.
