THG plc, the vertically integrated, digital first consumer brands group, is proud to announce that it has won Supply Chain Initiative of the Year, EMEA at the esteemed Environmental Finance: Sustainable Company Awards 2024, for its THG x PACT (Partnership in Action) initiative.

The award recognises companies that have taken steps to build a resilient and sustainable supply chain and by awarding THG for transforming its approach to decarbonisation efforts throughout its supply chain, has shone a light on THG as a demonstration of excellence in the industry.

With over 97% of THG’s total carbon footprint attributed to Scope 3 emissions, THG has taken steps with its supply chain to ensure that it has visibility and influence over its emission intensity. THG proudly launched PACT in December 2023; the initiative focuses on collaborating with suppliers to foster a culture of sustainability, while mutually decarbonising operations.

PACT seeks to enhance transparency throughout the supply chain and highlights the importance of sustainable practices in today’s business landscape. PACT has three primary objectives:

As THG’s science-based targets were officially validated by the SBTi in September 2023, encompassing mandatory Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon reductions by 2040, the collaborative efforts of THG and its suppliers are critical to achieving net zero by this date, recognising the importance of collective action for meaningful impact. Since the launch of the programme, THG has seen great success through its collaboration with suppliers, with over 50% submitting their historical carbon emissions and working towards SBTi aligned targets.

Mark Jones, Chief Sustainability Officer, THG says: “We’re proud to have won the award for Supply Chain Initiative of the Year for our work on PACT (Partnership in Action), recognising our dedication to being industry-leaders with our sustainable supply chain.

“We believe that real impact needs coordinated action between governments, organisations, businesses, and individuals. That’s why we want to leverage our global scale, partnerships and capacity for innovation to accelerate change. This active engagement with our suppliers - combined with the hard work and dedication our team at THG has put in - is what allows initiatives like PACT to be so successful.”
